DISTURBIA

Please read with caution. The content may be disturbing
25 killed and 100 seriously Injured... and there are more yet to be found
5 bombs blasts... 4 defused... and there are more
Three of my favorite places in Delhi ruined... just like that
Shock ... Trauma ...Pools of blood ... humans reduced to a debris of nothing
I call everyone I know and Its scary cuz I cant reach most of them.
I had a strong intuition about something being wrong. I was terrified as I could not reach my bro. My brother and his family just escaped the gaffar market explosion. I am happy he did.
Mom was adamant about going to CP today. I was acting lazy and she threatened me she would go alone. I am glad we didn't go. For the first time in my life, I am happy she gave up on me.
I turn on the TV
She lies there in red kurti and orange salwar, all stained with blood - her face covered with her duppatta.
He sits there, unable to get up, too much pain and blood lost and not enough energy to ask for help. But he manages to raise a hand and call for someone.
A camera zooms in on him capturing his helplessness, and I wonder what kind of a person this cameraman is? How heartless he must be cuz he did'nt seem to think that its important to help the injured first!
I suddenly feel guilty of being relaxed and happy cuz there are so many people who did not escape. Cuz there family will never see them again.
A 10 year balloon seller is being harassed by media and police cuz he mite have seen the terrorists.
I see a woman crying, trying hard to hold her fort. She's a mother to a 25 year old who has lost his leg forever, who is lying on a hospital bed with blood all over him, who is smiling cuz he knows his mother will be shattered to see him in pain.
And to that - Home Minister says, lets not make it a political issue... we cant save "all citizens", we are "justifiably helpless".
But at the same time I see two very brave NSG men trying to diffuse a live bomb, risking their life for the sake of our lives.
They say we don't need a new law or force to stand against this terrorism. They say the existing laws are good enough.
I say, F**k your damn law... cuz it also says oral sex is prohibited and I am sure you must be getting some action like that for sure. If I forget to pay my taxes, would I be spared then cuz "all citizens" cant be tracked? If someone kicked you in your ass and shot you or your relatives, would you be "justifiably helpless" then?
To all those who are responsible for this - the ones who did it and the ones who were responsible for preventing it but could not - may you never have to face such a situation but kindly do not belittle someone else's pain and loss cuz unless you are in their shoes, you will never know how hard they bite and the scars they leave forever. Thank you very much for not being there.

keep on cribbing mam.....if u r so hurt by the turn of events....go to the spot n help the needy....u hate the govt.....GR8....u luv the NSG men ...gr8(most of us can do tat)....if u want to see the change,be the change...

September 13, 2008 at 11:45 PM

@Simi - thnks

@Incognito - i think u got me wrong... m sayin exactly wt u sayin - the govt need not just TALK... while othr ppl r doin the work...

As fas as I am concerned, I don need to publicise wt I am doin but since you need to know, then let me tell you that I have donated blood already cuz thts the most I cud do.

But the ministers who say tht "ALL CITIZENS" cnt be saved or they are "JUSTIFIABLY HELPLESS" even after knowing bout the amount of RDX in delhi and the repetead warnings from intelligence ... wt have thy done.

All I wanted to say was that if they cant do anything then be it, cuz anyway we don expect anything from them... just dont pass sweeping statements on national TV and belittle the common man.

This is just terrible,to think how life is turned upside down in a matter of seconds!

Donno what pleasure do these people gain in spreading terror.May they all rot in hell.

Glad you and your family are safe dear, and I hope all who were unreachable were only just not reachable.

Take care.Hugs!

Heyyy

I just rushed to see ur blog after hearing the news.

Kya kahoo. The people, we, who are alive, never come to know the real-pain, never.

Take care buddy.

September 14, 2008 at 11:38 AM

My thoughts and prayers are with all the families and the citizens in Delhi... I am so sorry for what has happened....

Media are grrrrrrrr, I cannot even think on them anymore!!!

Your in my prayers,
Ne.

September 14, 2008 at 12:31 PM

Excellent post and well said.
Unfortunately, all everyone does is to exploit such situation. The media people are the one which reaches any place first, but they never bother to help anyone, they want that sensitive news to show to everyone, to get a few ratings with the cost of a life. If you check the reality, the media people can save many lives if they want, but they won't.
'N existing rules are good enough, but no one is practicing it to perfection. To arrest a famous religious person, even the government don't have the guts, when that changes, everything changes.

September 14, 2008 at 1:31 PM

Its so bad yaar... :(

And so many of 'em in CP and over palika..
Gaffar..is generally very crowded at that time...its so damn ridiculous..

It just gives the feeling of Deja vu...time and again..and again.. :(

September 14, 2008 at 4:08 PM

Its all scary. And I cant do anything. Jus feel sorry, call ppl up and watch d tv.

Its how helpless, we are!
God's d only answer.

September 14, 2008 at 4:27 PM

No territory is secured and no soul is safe.

1.My friend's sister witnessed the explosion in the bus stop yesterday, in Delhi.

2.My friend saw the explosion and a hand flew and came right in front of him, It had a golden watch wid it,in last years bomb blast in 'Lumbani Park' in Hyderabad.

3.My cousin jus escaped from the explosion in 'Mallad Station' in 2006 Mumbai serial train blasts, but on of my friend's far off relative got badly injured flying almost 3 mtrs in the air.

Ahmadabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Banglore, Jaipur....wat next ??

September 14, 2008 at 4:44 PM

I was just writing a mail to ya to ask if your people wre all fine, until I read this.
We can't help it,Div.
Even if we loathe it like...anything.
All we can say is 'May their souls R.i.p"

But the actual need of the hour is..??

September 14, 2008 at 6:59 PM

yeah i guess today i read in HT that the baloon seller had soon the terrorist...and he is being enquired oh god...... u live in delhi rite...i had the same feeling when we mumbaikars were shooked by the 7/11 train blast.....
but wht makes ppl plan such attacks on innocent ppl.... and the media creates a hype of it,,...as this is the time they get news and at times we dont they say is real or not.......my mom and me escaped the 7/11 incident...well cowards do such things and common we r innocent ppl are the victims...now god knows whts gonna happen next...... sometimes its really bad .....sick people....all we can do is just pray for those who lost their life

There are just no words. I am so sorry.

Manmade disasters are something I will never be able to comprehend.

September 15, 2008 at 7:07 AM

This is such heartfelt yet very sad post. I wish we didnt hv to write posts like this to make ppl understand wut COMPASSION, PEACE and LOVE are. humans should have them in their hearts by default.

I dun u'stand how ppl can actually go to the extent of making bombs and using them to hurt ppl in such a scary way. Can something as weak as hatred be as strong as that? I will never undertand that.

*HUGZ* TC!

Keshi.

September 15, 2008 at 9:03 AM

Well what do they gain out of it?? ! well,if some one hurt you,why hurt us,were we responsible? it sucks...

September 15, 2008 at 11:03 AM

i fear that there is too much inertia [or malice] on the part of politicians

in fact their inaction makes them as bad as the bombers themselves

our home minister was busy changing clothes while he should be making sure that something is done on the emergency basis. it is getting out of hand...

September 15, 2008 at 12:43 PM

Only when people feel we all are humans and do not differ in any, bloodshed stops.

September 15, 2008 at 3:26 PM

@Zubin - no man i was jst being lazy!

@Agnes - u said it rite - it is a man made disaster for sure

@Keshi - i wish the same girl... humans are not what thy are supposed to be now days
and about hatred, dun even know who it is targeted at even if its strong!!!

@Vishesh - yeah man true... same statement everytime sumthn goes wronng n no results at all

@Priya - well said... wish everyone cud realize this

September 15, 2008 at 6:58 PM

Lets forget government, just pray for the living ones who lost thier loved ones. :(

the blasts have left a horrifying mark on us :( and, as we speak, maybe they are planning the next set of blasts, n the govt. says they are justifiably helpless..

well, even if they dun care, they can at least make an act of it- i dunno y the fuck they always got to think of mixing political motives with a social massacre!

well, as citizens, hope and pray we can stand up n help when help is needed..

September 25, 2008 at 12:32 AM

Strong words... Nice post. 'Tis sad... People do not realise what humanity is. They just don't...

Terrorist acts are being linked with religion and stuff... Painful. I guess 'realization', 'tolerance', 'humanism' are fictitious today!

Talking about this religion-link... Try reading this when you have time. Would be glad to have your feedbacck.

http://kartzonline.blogspot.com/2008/09/religion.html

Peace, and have a nice day.

PS: B'rolling you. Hope you won't mind...

September 29, 2008 at 7:54 PM

I second Kartz.. strong words.. 'N babe I loved them!

These terrorists are just blowing ppl up for nothing like this is their own kingdom and they can do whetever they feel like :@

I've been a victim, so has been my mom, both of us escaped narrowly.. Thank God!! I can nvr ever forget that horror
