Little DOES matter
Have you noticed the bright full moon or the constellations standing out on a moon less night, lately?
Have you smelled a flower recently?
Have you noticed your surrounding and those small things that you find reassuring and rejuvenating?
... The smell of the earth, just after it has rained for the first time
... The tip tap of the rain drops on the roof
... The colors in the sky at sunset
... The bird chirping next to your window in the morning
... Shades of green and yellow in trees and plants just after the rain
... Making images out of fluffy clouds in the sky
... Listening to your favorite song
... A hug from your best friend
... Splashing the water and blowing bubbles
... Remembering a moment that truly touches our heart and makes us smile every time we think about it
... The old pullover and a steaming cup of hot chocolate
... A baby's laughter
NO...Most of us, including me, have ignored all this and more to concentrate on the more pressing things in life, getting our work done and running our lives in this jet age. Sometimes, in our rush to get things done and accumulating the materialistic treasures being offered, we overlook the true and unadulterated joys of life and hence let go of true pleasure. And these small little things that are accessible so effortlessly all around us and that too in abundance, suddenly become forbidden delicacies.
God has prearranged an endless supply of such small joys for us, and to really LIVE our life, all we need to do is look for them, share them with others and magic will transpire on its own.
So what’s that one thing that makes you smile no matter what you are doing, no matter where you are and no matter who you are with?

Smalljoys..small pleasures...simple things..they are the ones that bring REAL happiness.
What's the one thing that makes me smile no matter what? MUSIC. I can never live w.o. it and even if/when Im dying, I'll hv my iPod on. :)

I enjoy the simple things in life. Sometimes I just wonder if the world that I see looks the same to other people and I often think it does not.
see they are so samll. that i cant remebr them right now..but they make me happy..so thts all that matters..cheers...

Simple joys in life!!
I remember doing most of them, because off late, I have started becoming fanatic about not enjoying life and hence now I make every little thing count! I take time out to do these little things. It means a lot to me to be able to touch nature and feel the vibrancy and the colour. The joy it brings is heart warming and the smile it brings is contagious!
P.S. I know I am not your best friend, but does a hug work? I hope it does..!!

I think we all have noticed these mentioned things but not give too much priority.These things feels great when we feel alone.

@Arun...welcome to my side of the world...tic tac toe with the keyboard...lol...thts y i wrote the blog...had tried really hrd to bring a smile on someones face and felt gr8 when it happened...and the smile was cuz of a really really small thing...realized thr r so many more small thngs tht can make us smile :)
I can not agree more on this.Morbidity and abyss characterize our lives of late.Atleast that is valid for my case.Things that matter have never been big- they are small,in a sense that possibly we can not assimilate in context of times we are part of.We crave for the old chakkar-wala-telephone when we have mobile phones and N series ( I do )...I still like dahi jalebi when Pizza places attract most of us.I like watching movies in normal theatres...Still, I admit, we are lost.
As for your question regarding what makes me smile ~ I always smile when things get irreversibly horrible..Its always fun to be messed up isn't it ?
Vaise, I had this nice nice trip of Del. It was as beautiful as it has been in my dreams and memories...You are a lucky girl to be staying there !
